Nina often works with me as a make up artist. She’s a fabulous artist and a wonderful person and always happy to pitch in to help make sure the day goes brilliantly. Today I’m inviting Nina to give you her top tips for perfect wedding make up. Over to Nina!

Hi Guys!

Planning your wedding isn’t the easiest of things. There’s a lot to plan but when it all starts to come together you will think it was all worth it in the end.

As a professional make up artist, I am in charge of calming those last minute nerves and using my   expertise to maximise your beautiful individuality and it is precisely this that excites me.

So how to make sure that you look your most stunning on your wedding day?

First and foremost aim to have your skin looking its best.  Make up looks best if you have a great base to begin with so plenty of water and a great diet is essential. And before your wedding have a facial for your skin type.

To decide on your make up style think of a few words that encapsulate your desired look and elaborate on them. For example ‘elegant’ and ‘timeless’. Then think of what eye and lip colours represent the words. Everything will flow from there.

Nina created a very natural look for Alexandra

Accentuate a feature – be it eyes, cheekbones or eyebrows and keep the rest natural with a little colour. Then I like to put a dusting of powder over the face or the T-zone to finish the look.

I hope this post was useful to all you beautiful brides to be.

Have a smashing day!

I think the irish cheeses might pair nicely with the canadian apple ice wine, especially the Cashel blue. I might have to get the wine and then take it over to try with the cheeses. Unruotfnately they’re on the opposite sides of the lake. Might need 2…
